On the passing of Ozzy Osbourne I like to think it went something like this :

The ominous Watchers stood by viewing the astral plane. Wondering and contemplating the beginning and end of times, inter dimensional existence through a billion worlds a second as atoms and planets exploded and imploded at a fascinating rate. The realms from reality on earth have been shattered into shards of space for many who left. The outer scopes of reality opened anew for the coming of another soul of existence to wander on into the After forever. The time had finally come and someone was waiting.

A mile high stack of Marshall amps surround a huge stone table of black marble, strewn with endless bottles of Jack Daniels. Situated on the edge of time into the void sits Lemmy, sipping his drink, Bass guitar to the side, for He is the one who waits.

Speeding through days that mean nothing just waiting for the next stop, there's nothing to do but drink and write more music. The spiral architect who created such an existence cannot be found so where does it all come from, it has always existed. Music is vibration and that will resonate forever if you do it right, Lemmy knew that and so did the one who was due to arrive.

Then a dark purple explosion in the distance confirmed the the time had come. The roar of never ending trapped entities screamed as the shooting stars sailed in. A massive comet of burning glass rocks comes into view, on it stands Ozzy fucking Osbourne blasting through at immense lightspeed, ready to crash land right at the entrance point to the awaiting realm where Lemmy sits. An impact so loud it was music to the ears who needed it! The orb hits the dust and shatters to a stop.

'See Lem I told them I could ride shooting stars!'

Lemmy laughs, it cracks the surrounding vibrations into great waves of sonic power, it was as loud and nasty as the reverbrations of his fully loaded Rickenbacker.

'The prince of Darkness! Great to see you again, a drink?'

Ozzy smiles.

They down a super huge shot of bourbon and smash the glasses together laughing like maniacs.

'Were you waiting long Lem?'

'Na Oz 10 years is like a day here, I been up all night,,. Right then, whats the plan? We gotta lot of people to catch up with'

Ozzy shouts at the top of his voice...

'ROCK N FUCKIN ROLL!!!!'

Lemmy reaches into his jacket and tips two monumental giant mounds of space dust that fade into the distance of the ether of the beyond.

'One for the road Oz?'

'HAHAHA! Lets get Snow blind!'

So with one huge hit the amps fire up full throttle, in the distance the sounds of drums beating become louder and it all begins again in another place, in another time, in another realm. On into the cosmos they speed, white line lightning bolts guide the way cutting through the fabric of time, not letting up, maximum volume as armour they again ride through on into the unknown. A trail of burning sweet leaf is all that's left... and like that they were gone. The watchers were left stunned, just like the people on earth.

THE END

The effects of Motorhead, Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath, will last for many a century to come, If you can change minds and lives through music, then you have done something right.

Like many of you out there, Motorhead and Ozzy were the soundtrack to my life. Motorhead showed me the light at 6 years old via the Young Ones when it was screened for the first time on BBC 2. Thank fuck for my upbringing of being allowed to watch whatever I wanted, my parents were cool and this was the early 80's and shit was a lot different back then. This show kicked open the door to heavy music for me and it was the ' WHAT IS THIS! I WANNA DO THAT' moment in my life, when I heard Motorhead it pin points where my life changed. The next couple of years I really found the power of what music does. Quickly followed by discovering Black Sabbath and Ozzy a year or so later. By the time I was 10 I had amassed quite a few records, magazines, newspaper cuttings, tapes and anything else I could collect that was rock, metal, punk, horror or heavy. This was the era of metal and satanic panic and it was an amazing time to witness the effect metal had on society and watching it change into the movement it is now. There really wasn't that many people into the genre, it was still outsider music. The time I hit my teenage years in the early 90's I was playing drums and was still a massive Ozzy fan and worshipped Motorhead and Sabbath. I still play drums and live for music, without music, the energy in the world would be fucked.

CONCLUSION

Death? what a cunt! or a dick! Where ever and who ever you are its gonna come and fuck you at some point, That's my theory anyway. The circle of life is a harsh ride and we are all on the same trip. Without music the soundtrack to life would be miserable.

If Sabbath did not begin when they did and Lemmy did not dedicate his life to playing music with numerous bands before He got to Motorhead - Then for me and many of you this world would not be the way it is. Long live Lemmy, Long live Ozzy! it's not over yet! They will live forever in music. To those who need it PLAY OZZY LOUD and TURN MOTORHEAD UP!
